Question:Does this have a breakaway rim?

Answer:I think some of these people do not know what a breakaway rim is! This is a breakaway rim, a rim that has a spring that allows it to pulled down after someone dunks on it, then it springs back to its original position.

Question:What are the dimensions of the base? I'd like to place this between the sidewalk and street.

Answer:The base is roughly rectangular, approx 32 in wide and 50 in deep. There is also a ground anchor that screws into the ground and attaches to the rear of the base by a rope that extends the depth another ~16 inches. Hope this helps!
